Project Overview

The Department of Examinations in Sri Lanka is the authorized government institution responsible for conducting various national examinations. These include the Grade 5 Scholarship Exam, G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Exam, G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Exam, and several other important exams. To enhance process efficiency and convenience for students, the Department has introduced the following online services:

Online Exam Applications: Students can now submit their applications for exams through a streamlined online process.
Online Exam Admissions: Exam admission cards are issued electronically, making the process quicker and more accessible.
Online Issuance of Certificates: G.C.E. O/L and G.C.E. A/L certificates can be obtained online, eliminating the need for physical visits.
Online Result Verification: Both O/L and A/L results can be verified online, providing a reliable and efficient verification process.

Since 2020, Databox Technologies has been instrumental in managing and enhancing these online services, ensuring a seamless experience for students and contributing to the overall efficiency of the Department.

Impact

The services offered by the Department of Examinations are utilized by the majority of Sri Lankans at various stages of their educational journey. Before the advent of online services, accessing these services was time-consuming and costly for both the Department and the general public. However, the introduction of new e-services has transformed this landscape.
